Meta work is not the work

This is the failure of agile methodologies, they tend to place such a heavy focus on the meta work that work itself falls off in the priority list.

Productivity methods are also a type of meta work.

I'm guilty of chasing those hacks that will make me more productive. But it ends up being a rat race within the rat race.

Do the minimum that works for you. To know what's the minimum keep removing things until it stops working.
